Title – Acceptable Risk
Author – Lynette Eason
Genre- Military Fiction

Blurb- Sarah Denning is a military journalist with the Army in the Middle East when her convoy is attacked and she’s taken hostage. When former Army Ranger Gavin Black is asked by his old unit commander–Sarah’s imposing father–to plan an extremely risky rescue, he reluctantly agrees and successfully executes it.
Back in the US, Sarah is livid when she’s discharged on a false psychiatric evaluation and vows to return to the Army. Until she learns of her brother’s suicide. Unable to believe her brother would do such a thing, she puts her plans on hold and enlists Gavin to help her discover the truth. What they uncover may be the biggest story of Sarah’s career–if she can survive long enough to write it.

My take- Being a journalist I always wanted to be a war journalist. I worked many bit but conflict journalism always fascinates me but never got the chance to do so. After reading this book my desire ignite again. The author Lynette has very beautifully described the inside story of war journalism. She has done well research on the subject. The story is very different and beautiful. The narration is so amazing that when I was reading the book,  I felt that I am on that place. The journey of Sarah is quite complex. The ups and down of her life is not so easy and the author presented that very well. I have enjoyed the book throughout. It’s an amazing read. Thank you @lovebookstours @lynetteeason for being me a part of this amazing book tour.

  1. Hallo, Hallo Quiline,
Thanks for finding me on Twitter! I’ve happily followed you back! I was on this same blog tour – whereas I wasn’t able to do too much more than explain why I enjoy reading or listening to Contemporary Thrillers and how I enjoy certain military based stories as well. I had hoped to have borrowed a copy of the audiobook for the first in this series but I simply ran out of the hours to do so. Meanwhile, I liked reading what you had to say – as it offered a perspective I hadn’t realised was in this novel – frontline journalism. It was refreshing to hear your takeaways knowing you’re in the same profession even if in a different branch of it.
Was this the first time you’ve read this author?
I’m hoping to read some of her Love Inspired Suspense novels and this series before the end of the year to see which of her storie fits me most as a reader. Happy you’ve reached out to me and I hope you’ll enjoy my feeds on Twitter as much as visiting with me on my blog. My comments are open to conversations whenever you drop by.
